When did you start your blog?
I started blogging in August of 2006. I had no idea about blogging and registered the domain name angesbiz.com one because it contained my name and two because I was going to make it a business… ha! If I only knew then what I know now.
As I grew fond of blogging and realised the possibilities of internet marketing and Social Media, I started a Social Networking News blog in October of last year which is leading me to even more opportunities and opening my eyes to possibilities that exist in the realm of working from home as an Internet Marketer.
Why did you start blogging?
As I mentioned above, I originally started blogging as a business to make money online. I felt I had some great ideas on Personal Development and wanted to share what I knew and help people along on their journey. Plus, I had two young children and wanted to be home with them.

Social Networking News Daily
Social Networking tips on attracting free traffic, how to use Social Media, Wordpress and the world of Internet Marketing.
What are your 5 must have tools for blogging?
1. Wordpress – I can’t live without.
2. All In One SEO plugin.
3. My techy guy
4. Twitter
5. Feedburner
What is your favourite part of being a blogger?
My favourite part of blogging is that I can say what I like (to an extent) and I am the only editor. In other words, I have a voice and there are people who like what I write. I have also been blessed with some wonderful comments and emails over the last few years from readers that have thanked me for sharing my thoughts and these keep me inspired and urge me to keep writing.
The other side of this of course is meeting other bloggers, like yourself, and forming relationships which grows my network and reach. Without you, I wouldn’t be here and doing what I do today.
What would be the biggest thing you have learnt since starting your blog?
There are so many newbies to blogging that I see getting carried away with how to make money online which is what I was like in the beginning. I spent quite a bit of money on different courses, products and software that were unnecessary.
The biggest thing I have learned is to follow your passion and the money will follow. Do what you love, build your network, blog about your favourite things and the opportunities are limitless.
Some of the opportunites that have come my way by doing what I love are coaching clients on how to blog using Wordpress, Social Media and SEO strategies to rank highly on Google.
If you could start again, what would you do differently?
Use all the free resources that are available for bloggers rather than spend dollars on courses. You can find anything if you google it and there’s loads of free information available out there.
What has been your blog’s biggest achievement?
Being recognised in the Top 100 Australian Bloggers and Top 100 Australian Women Bloggers was a real buzz as well as my Free Hugs campaign which I blogged about and is still the most visited post to date on Buzzing with Ange. Another achievement was being interviewed by a Herald Sun reporter about working from home as an Internet Marketer and look out for an article in Notebook Magazine next month.
What advice would/do you have for new chick bloggers?
To not make money your focus. Build a great blog first and learn how to get traffic, free traffic. Write about what you love and build your networks with like minded people. Find someone who has done what you want to do and model them.
Do you (or do you plan to) make any income from your blog?
My blogs are an extension of me. I do advertise affiliate links and products that have helped me and know they would be beneficial to others. Aside from my blogs, as I mentioned earlier, I am coaching some private clients and will be launching my very first membership site within 3 months, which will be an e-learning centre for newbies to the Internet on how to use Social Media for marketing.
What future goals do you have for your blog?
My blogs will keep me connected to the world of Social Networking for one thing. Keeping up appearances, so to speak and being recognised online is paramount to building an online business IMHO.
Buzzing with Ange is undergoing a new design which is being developed around my personality and how I have come to understand blogging and the needs of bloggers. I wish I could give you a date on when that will happen, but it’s gone from a new design to a whole series of designs and pro themes which will be available for purchase down the track. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Who are your 5 favourite chick bloggers and why?
1. Laurel Papworth because she is doing something I want to do :P Laurel teaches and speaks about Social Media strategies with a long list of courses and workshops available in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
2. Carole Fogarty from The Healthy Living Lounge writes a fantastic Health and Wellness blog based on alternative medicine and techniques.
3. Suzie Cheel writes the Abundance Highway about the Law of Attraction which I truly believe in and use everyday. I get inspired by what Suzie writes and at the moment, she is taking on a 45 day boundless living challenge.
4. Janelle Manton writes about Top Secret Women’s Business. If you want your GRRR factor back, Janelle is dedicated to educating women on how to do that and even has an audio program for transforming you into a Goddess! WOW!
5. Jo Harrison of Soulmate Success blog. Jo and her hubbie Rick are devoted to you finding your Soulmate. They’re a cute couple who are totally in love with great tips for those seeking a relationship or developing the relationship you already have.
