Thank-you for such a thought provoking post. I too am celebrating an anniversary of a dear friend, although the anniversary is 20 years well before any of these social networking tools. Yet we have created a space for him on facebook and pictures just so that he isn’t totally forgotten.

I am sorry to hear that you have lost someone close, as it is always hard every year when the anniversary comes around.

Such a sad situation re your friends. I had heard recently that it is indeed becoming a more regular occurance for people to include a list of their passwords with their will… for online gaming accounts etc.

This is a good reminder for me. Something I have been meaning to do for so long, I even recently had a dream about dying, and my main concern was my websites!

So many sites and accounts, my husband would have no hope. I did manage to find god parents for my sites tho ;)
