Update: If you are on android, check out Instwogram. It allows you to have two Instagram apps and your phone does not need to be rooted.
Instagram has become a very important part of a blogger’s social strategy. But for many bloggers, juggling separate Instagram accounts for you and your blog can be a right pain, forever logging in and out to post your pictures and comment. Or carting around a separate phone for each account.
Well, we have a simple trick that can help you easily manage your Instagram accounts from your computer!
Bluestacks app player is a program that will allow you to run Android apps on your PC or Mac. This program is in beta, so some bugs are to be expected. But in our testing it has worked perfectly for this task.
Installation is really easy, just download and run the program and follow the instructions. You just have to remember that it acts like a phone and you can’t just select a pic saved to your computer.
I’ve found the easiest way to access your pictures is if you are using Dropbox. I have my camera pictures sync with my Dropbox, so my pictures are easily available from all my devices. If you use some other similar cloud setup, like Google Drive you will also be able to use this. Just install the app and setup your account.
The video below made by the lovely Rah steps you through the steps to install Instagram and Dropbox within Bluestacks and upload your first Instagram. There are actually a few different ways to install apps but I’ve found that the way shown in the video is the easiest.
If you need support with using Bluestacks, please refer to the Bluestacks help forum or just Google it.
Hope this helps you manage your Instagram accounts a little easier. If you have any other instagram tips, we’d love to hear them in the comments!
