Sharing is caring!

The coronavirus pandemic has upended our lives, but in the midst of this unparalleled crisis, our community is doing what it does best. Many are acting with extraordinary kindness, leading with innovation, and reaching to the most vulnerable among us. We have compiled a list of moments of kindness that people have experienced or witnessed during the past few weeks right here in our community.

.Scott and Christine Vogel, owners of Nothing Bundt Cakes, who added a little sweetness into the lives of healthcare workers by donating nearly 1,000 mini bundt cakes to all three of our city’s major hospital systems.

.The staff at Restaurant Partners who not only donated meals to feed Meals on Wheels volunteers, but fresh produce to help the organization continue to serve its clients.

.These community members holding signs of encouragement and gratitude outside of Spectrum Health Butterworth.

.Jenna Arcidiacono and her staff at Amore Trattoria Italiana, as they continue to donate food en mass to healthcare workers and first responders, and last Friday donated $1 of every curbside order to Kid’s Food Basket.

.These transportation workers who dedicated their time to feed 100 of their colleagues who continue delivery goods all over the country.

.Everyone who is dedicating their time to making masks right now.

.These restaurants who gave away free food to anyone who came to their door.

.These patients at Mary Free Bed who decorated their windows with signs of encouragement and unity.

.Every single person who is volunteering with Kids’ Food Basket to feed thousands of kids across West Michigan who lack access to healthy food.
