ABOUT US

THE ROLE 

Do you consider yourself a bit of a style icon amongst your friends and community? We are seeking a fashion forward designer and production coordinator to join our team at our office in Brunswick East. This role will be responsible for coordinating the start to end product development and production process for on time deliveries. In the role, you will work directly with the Billy Bones Club founder and alongside our small and dynamic team.

It is essential that the successful applicant is creative, has personal style, unique ideas and is a confident communicator. 

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ROLE 

Area 1:   Ranging & Sampling

  • Taking range and concept direction from the Billy Bones Club founder to drive our product offering in line with brand vision/style
  • Use textile knowledge to make yarn and fabrication suggestions/guidance throughout the design process
  • Proactively drive the approval time lines on lab dips, strike offs, trim and bulk fabric confirmation
  • Creating and updating all technical spec packs for product handover
  • Creating tech sketch range boards by category and month and update regularly
  • Support the creativity throughout the process to ensure on time and high quality delivery of garments
  • Review and update bestselling styles to be reviewed in future range drops

Area 2: Quality Assurance and Fit Process

  • Work with team to ensure best fit and best quality of fabric, trim and finish for each garment
  • Problem solving production issues with offshore suppliers as they arise

Area 3:  Critical Path and Logistics

  • Ensure critical path timelines are followed 
  • Ensure regular communication with suppliers to ensure on time delivery

Area 4:  Leadership and Management

  • Create an inspiring and team environment in line with the BBC style 
  • Ensure open communication and team work to enable clear direction and growth 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Personal style is essential 
  • An understanding and passion for the Billy Bones Club brand image.
  • A Passion for music and fashion
  • Previous experience working in a similar role is ideal 
  • Qualification in Fashion and Textiles is ideal
  • Proactive, motivated and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Work under pressure and take directions well
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to maintain strong relationships
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • A collaborative team member
  • Ideally have well developed negotiation skills
