The 26th Met Gala is officially underway, as the rich and famous line New York’s Met Museum steps, flaunting some of the boldest looks of the year.
Hosted by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, this year’s theme is Gilded Glamour, a nod to the Gilded Age of 1870 to 1890, Page Six reports.

During this time, fashion was extravagant, with a strong focus on lace, embellishments, and feathers.
This year’s theme is much narrower than previous themes such as 2021’s In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, and 2019’s Camp: Notes of Fashion.
Kim Kardashian made her second red carpet appearance with SNL comedian boyfriend Pete Davidson.
The Skims founder wore Marilyn Monroe’s famous sparkling gown that she wore to sing ‘Happy Birthday Mr President’ in 1962.
This is the first time the vintage gown has been worn in 60 years.
Kim styled the dress with bleached blonde hair.
Shutting down the red carept was actress Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, who are co-chairing the event.
Blake had an on carpet outfit change, removing the sash from her gown to reveal a blue train and transforming her gloves to coordinate.

This is the first Met Gala where all five Kardashian-Jenner sisters and mum Kris Jenner have been in attendance at once.
Kylie Jenner (left) donned a fishnet veil over a backward cap, along with a t-shirt-styled wedding-themed dress.
Khloe Kardashian was seen in between her two younger sisters, making her debut at the Met Gala.
Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner (right) wore a sheer black top and skirt, making a statement with bleached eyebrows.
Model Gigi Hadid stole the show in a red corset and latex jumpsuit.
The striking look from Versace was matched with a puffed cape and bold red lipstick.
Lizzo’s latest accessory, a gold flute, took her Met Gala outfit to new heights, as she played the instrument mid carpet.
The Juice singer wore a satin silk dress that took 22,000 hours to create, Lizzo told Vogue.
Sex And The City actress Sarah Jessica Parker wore a Christopher John Rogers ensemble.
Making their Met Gala debut was Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian – unsurprisingly – making out on the red carpet.

Kaia wore a metallic silver gown with cutouts, while Austin was seen in an all-black suit.
